Jasleen marcopolo excursion

on Friday February 14 2014,we had our excursion to marcopolo water park in serpong.so,i woke up and i got ready and i wasn't late so i waited for a few minutes and we went upstairs to talk about what should we do there.after that we went down and went to the bus,i was seating at the back with Jillian,Angel and Nena.It was a pretty long trip from our school to serpong,but anyway,we had fun at the bus.soon,we arrived at marcopolo water park,we were so excited and when we arrived we met a guy and he explained how water is managed properly in the water park.After that,ITS SWIMMING TIME!we were so excited until we ran to the toilet to change our clothes and after that we swam and i played the slide,then,me,Jillian and Chelsea went around the pool in another pool,soon,we went into a cave,Jillian was scared but me and Chelsea was not,so we called Jillian a chicken and she eventually came with us,the cave was pretty scary because it was dark,then there was some water spray under a bridge so we have to go under water so we wont get hit.After that i did a flip.Then i went to play the slide and i also rented a doughnut and i slid with my doughnut and i hit the water,when i haven't move to the side,Chelsea directly slide and kicked me in my leg,it hurts but its okay now,after that my leg got a scar because the side of the pool is not straight and its sharp,many people got scratched because of that,but it doesn't hurt anymore.After that we took a shower and then we changed our clothes then we had lunch there,i bought pop mie and it was good.After that we went back to the bus and we went back to school.When we arrived at school,we went up to our class and rest and some of us played,after we played we pack up and we went home.THE END

Gabriel Marco Polo Reflection

On Friday 14th of February, me, teachers, and also my friends went to Marco Polo water park. Not just that we also had 3 birthdays which is me, Gavrilo, and Angel. We had a good time in Marco Polo water park. Marco Polo water park is located at Serpong, and the pool was located on top of the building, so we ride few lifts. Before we swim, we had a guest speaker. He told us about the uses of chlorine, and water filtration. After explaining a few words we finally swim. It was fun swimming there, there is lots of types of pool. There is adult pool it was pretty deep, there is also a baby pool, Slide pool, and more. 

It was pretty fun swimming in the Marco Polo water park. We've also learn about uses of the swimming pool. This day was a total blast.

Angel marcopolo excursion report and reflection

At friday 14 Februari 2014 we went to the Marcopolo waterpark at serpong to learn how They manadge to save water wisely.we learn that if the water is slippery the water will not damadge our skin and also They use medicine for the pool everyday so They can Reused the water again and again.the guy at marcopolo water park also gave us a tour of the waterpark after he give us information and a tour the teacher say that we can change our clothes and go to swim.we have a Lot of fun we can even rent a floaties for 10 thousand. jillian,jasleen and Chelsea invited me to go somewhere so i go with them ,i was so curious where are They taking me so i go ,
we went to a very dark cave i was very scared so i scream.we have so much fun.

At this weekwe went to an excursion to marco polo water park it was on th top of a mall so it was very high and when we went inside the person explained more about water we learned about chlorines and cleaning water  and then he explained about the water pools and everyone swimmed accept me yuka and nico and then inthe middle of the excursion frederik got hurt because of a broken tile but it was only a small wound

 and then we went back to the bus then we stopped by aw then we went back to school.

In 14th February, we had an excursion to Marcopolo water park.We are divided into 4 groups and each group has a teacher.Nena,Kayla,Angel,Rachael,and Yvonne is in my group and our teacher is Ms.Yuan.We went there with our school bus.It is a very long way from school to there.And in that day, it is Angel's birthday,also it's valentines day.When we are there , there is a guy that is explaining about how they treat the pools.After awhile,we finally swim after all the knowledge that we get.We had a lot of fun swimming with our friends.I think this might be the best excursion that we had.I love it!

Jillian_ marco polo excursion report and reflection_

On friday 14, me, the teachers and my friend , went to Marco Polo water park at Serpong. I am so excited because we get to go to on another excursion again.

We first lined up and ready to go upstairs to the class. Then,when we got to the class, we saw the groups for the excursion on the board. There are 4 teachers who join for the excursion, which is: Mr.Lito, Ms.Lenny, Ms.Yuan ,and Mr.Chairul. My group is with Ms.Lenny, Adel, Aurel, Chelsea, Jasleen and Sophia.
Next, we lined up by groups to get in to the bus. Me , Nena, Angel and Jasleen sat on the back of the bus. On the way to the Marco polo water park we sang songs until we reach the Marco polo water park in Serpong.
When we want to go to the Marco polo swimming Adel also accidentally stepped a dog poop.A man also explain about how to take care pool water in Marco polo water park.
The man also gave us a tour around the water park Marco polo.
After the man finished talking.Me and my friends quickly changed our clothes and get into the pool.
We play the sliding, me and Jasleen also tried to slide while laying down.We also rent a swimming rubber which cost 10 thousand.
After that, me, chelsea and Jasleen went to the cave it was dark and Jasleen tried to scare me so i'm scared. They call me a chicken when in the cave because i was scared.
Then we invited Angel to go to the cave again we also scare Angel because i am not scared again. She was screaming in the cave because she was so scared. We also tried to scream to make her scared. There was like a sharp stair that makes scar at my feet. It was really hurt. There's also an accident because Chelsea unintentionally kick Jasleen knees. Aurel helps us to get to Ms.Lenny to tell the accident. Then ms.Lenny help to get up from the pool by using a swimming rubber. The teachers also gave me a handdyplast to cover my scar .
I also take a bath earlier than the others because if i swim again my scar will hurts because the scar is on my feet.  After i take a bath i waited for the others to take a bath.Then, we had lunch together.

After that, we get to the bus again. We sang some songs only because we are too tired.Then, we stopped at AW and some of the students buy something too.
I forgot to tell you something it was also Angel's, Gav's, and Gabriel's birthday.
It was fun. I hope another excursion in the future would more fun. :)

On Friday 14 of February my friends, teachers and I went to Marcopolo water park in Serpong. On the way while my friends were having fun and singing the whole way there I fell asleep because I was to tired to do anything. When we got to the destination my friend behind me woke me up so I got ready and checked if I had everything and got of the bus. When we got there we had to walk a lot of stairs and when we got there the first thing we did was put our bags and line up with our groups. After that we learned about he management of the water park. After we learned about the management of the water park we went swimming until lunch time. After we had a shower we had lunch and went on the bu to go back to school.

At this Friday our class and I went to a place called Marco Polo water park. In there we learn about how they managed the water park, they also explain us aboud the baby pool, kids pool,secondary pool, and the adult pool. Chelsea- marcopolo water park- reflection

This Friday was a very exciting day because we get to go to macropolo water park. We were all in groups. There was 4 groups. We went there using bus. When we arrive a man told is to put our bags on a bench. He started to show us around macropolo water park. He told us that there is a kids pool, primary and secondary pool, baby pool and the adult's pool. He explained to us about the pool. He told us that if there is too much kaporit inside the pool it will hurt your eyes and it's also not good for your skin. He also told us that the water will be slippery if there is too much kaporit. They use water pump for the slide so the water from the pool can go up and down the slide. It keeps on doing that process so it recycles water. The also use water pump so the water can move. After he explained all that stuff we were allowed to swim. The place wasn't that big. There was only two slides, but I had a great time there.

Nicholas excursion report reflection !4 February 2014

This week, we learned about measurements, converting a measurement from a larger unit to a smaller unit and converting a measurement from a smaller unit to a larger unit. We practiced multliplication and division.  We did a lot of math exercises in maths TB and WB. In english, we learned about run on sentences and irregular verbs. We did some exercises in skills book. In ICT, we made a brochure using microsoft publisher. The brochure is about water. We pasted some pictures and typed the information about the pictures. We had mandarin spelling test. In arts, we made a 3D house. My partner was Joseph. We have been preparing our assembly. I will be reading a poem. In PE, we played dodgeball. I like to play dodgeball. We had bahasa Indonesia spelling test. Today, we went to Marco Polo Water Park. There was a guest speaker. He explained about kinds of swimming pool. There were three swimming pools there. The deepest one was for adults, the medium deep was for children and the shallow one was for babies. Unfortunately, I did not swim because I do not no how to swim. I enjoyed my field trip anyway.   

Adel_Marco Polo Excursion Report & Reflection_,14 February 2014

Today is a very exciting day. Because we get to go on another excursion again. Our excursion is to go to Marco Polo in Serpong. This is how it started.

We first lined up and were ready to go upstairs to our class. When we got in our class there was some writing on the board that told us our groups for our Marco Polo excursion. There are 4 teachers joining on our excursion to Marco Polo. They are Ms Lenny, Ms Yuan, Mr Lito and Pak Chairul. My group is with Ms Lenny, Aurel, Chelsea, Jillian, Jasleen and Sophie. We waited for the bus at 8:00 so that's why we stayed in the class to wait.

After Ms Lenny explained some things about staying close together and not teasing each other if they can't swim and other things. Soon it was 8:00 and we got ready to go. We first lined up in our group. Then we got on the bus, ready to leave.

On the bus, I sat next to my friend Aurel. On the bus I heard my friends sing songs but sometimes I sung with them too. After 1 hour and a half, we got to our destination. We walked our way to a mall and went up an elevator. We then went up stairs and then escalators until we finally went to the top. The Marco Polo was on top of a mall.

We soon put our bags down and waited for a man to tell us information about how they managed the water in Marco Polo. He gave us a piece of paper about the Marco Polo pools they have. He said that the PH is 7,2-7,6. And that the chlorine is 1,0-1,5. We then came looked around the pools and had us a tour around Marco Polo. He showed us the baby pool, the adult pool, the pool for the primary and the middle school and this other pool for kids. He also showed us the blue slide in the primary and middle school pool. He also said that the water from the slide begins from the top and then the water flows down to the pool and recycles it.

After he explained this information we quickly changed into our swimming clothes and swam in the pools they had over there. I swam in the pool for the kids, the shallow part of the adult pool and the pool for the primary and the middle school. It was fun swimming around and splashing each other. We also played this racing game to see who can swim faster. We swam in this pool that keeps on going around and around. There was even a spooky cave in Marco Polo. I enjoyed very much. Soon it was times up and we had to take a shower and wash your body.

After we finished taking a shower, everybody ate their lunch. Some people bought their food at the cafeteria or the brought their own lunch from home. I brought my lunch from home. After we finished eating, we went back on the bus to go to school.

Soon we were back at school, but we didn’t come late. We came at 1:25 or 1:40. Then we played games until it was home time. I had a great time at Marco Polo, it was fun. I hope the excursion in the future would be more fun and exciting.

Unit4 weekly reflection_Rachael_14-Febuary-2014

This week, we have so much fun!The fun part is on valentine's day that was on Friday,14 Febuary'14 we went to water park marcopolo swimming pool on Serpong. On that day, we swim together with classmate. ON Monday, we have ICT time and we print the brochure about water that we make. On Tuesday, we have sport and the theme was about voli. On Wednesday, no such fun thing that I remember. On Thursday, we must finish our art project. And so.. On Friday, the funnest thing ever in year 5L with Ms. Lenny!!!

This week, we have been practicing a lot for assembly. We also had a lot of fun in Marcopolo Water Park, Serpong. We also continued our arts project, which is about our lines of inquiry. In Maths, we've done a lot of workbook pages about converting measurements. In ICT, we made a brochure about water. In Marcopolo Water Park, we had alot of fun swimming, going on the water slide, and also racing around the pool with a donut. By far, it is the best field trip in year 5. It is a great week, and i'm looking forward for the next week.

Adel_ICT Unit 4 Reflection

In ICT, we made a brochure about Saving Water. We first started on last Tuesday. We did our brochure in Microsoft Publisher. We chose our brochure format on the Microsoft Publisher application. I liked the format I chose.

On last Thursday, we designed and made our brochure. We also put pictures, information and resources. That was for our draft. When it was printed out, it was black and white. We were then told to fix our mistakes in the brochure and to do our rubric about the brochure. We had to submit it today. Which is Thursday, 13th February 2014.

I think my brochure looked good but I think I could do better next time. I think I should summarise more and make the brochure more eye catching and interesting for the reader who would read it. I enjoyed this project because I can design the brochure I made.

We are learning about water this unit, unit 4.

This unit in I.C.T we are learning on how to make a brochure. We need to make a water brochure. Our I.C.T teacher told us to do a research on the water distribution, the water reservoir and how to manage water. We need to put all that information that we have collected into one brochure.

We have an upcoming assembly about water. We are showing one of the news report, doing a poem and we are also going to sing a maths song.

This unit 4, I learned a lot in ICT. In ICT we learned how to use Microsoft Excel&Publisher. We also researched a lot about water. We did a project which includes using Publisher. Our project was to make a brochure that explains about these 3 topics. These topics are : Water managment, How to save water, and Water distribution. On this project I worked very hard to get a good grade. I started by doing research abot the 3 particular topics. I researched about them and made a draft of information in Microsoft Word . Then I selected a template and baground and started to work. I had a great time doing this project. I learned a lot about publisher as well as water. I think my brochure turned out great and satisfying enough to me. The thing that I liked the most about my project is the format and background. This unit we learn about water, i was really happy in this unit 4.In ICT we are making project about water brochure we need to type about water managed.Water managed is like a water quality is a term used to describe the chemical.Next we need to type about water distribution it's the physical works that deliver water from the water source.Then the last one was how to reserve water it's like massive aquifer 300 metres.At the second page it's about water cycle it's about a process about clean water ,next is about magic water .

       Since the first time Mr.Jimmy came I felt kind of happy to see a new teacher came in the room. Until now he has been very responsible for his pupils and make rules. He's very tidy, kind, and confident, and he seems to be very happy when he was once here. He let us play once we're done, he's kind and a very nice teacher.
       I felt very happy and excited to see teachers (especially new ones). Mr.Jimmy is very cooperative, satisfying and smart. I like his style and intelligence for computer work. He's good on Microsoft Office, Publisher, Acel, and Power points.

In this unit, we learn about water. On ICT time, we make brocure about water. We print it and we have the result. The project is: water distribution,water managed and how to preserve/reserve water. I love unit 4 because it was fun and it was so easy for me. So, I learn how to save water. Even on ICT time, we can learn water. It was a fun porject for me if doing computering ... I love computer but my thinking is not really complete on it. ICT time is my 3rd favorite project so I can make it balance with the other 2 project that is 1. music and 2. is sports.

In this unit,we learnt how to make brochure.So we have to research about water distribution , water managed,how to preserve water. We put all the research that we found in the brochure. I also put some colors and some pictures to make it nicer in my brochure. we also have like a typing excercise about american flag and a party excercise,we have to copy the alphabet and copy to make a paragraph about america,and the party excercise we have give a purty budget and list. The budget is 100.  It was great and quite fun excercise. In unit 4, we learned about why water is needed in the communities,how to manage water,water cycle ,and where do water come from.I really think that learning about water is very interesting.Without water we cannot survive.We always use water every day.We use them by drinking ,taking a bath,washing,cleaning,cooking foods and many more.We also learned how to save water or how to manage water.I save water by turning the tab of when I don't use them, not playing with water ,use left-over water to water the plants ang many more.Water comes from the ocean or the mountains.Water cycle is the reason there is water underground.Water cycle never stops.

I felt really happy because I got to learn ICT with a new teacher and he taught me some new stuff that I never learned before in ICT. In ICT I made a brochure about water for my Unit Of Inquiry in ICT for a project. I loved the project because I could search more about water and learn about how to manage, preserve, and the distribution of water. If I had some trouble and raise my hand he always come and listen to my question.I am looking forward to the next project because ICT is kind of fun and I can learn more stuff from MR.Jimmy and about ICT. 

Weekly reflection -Gabriel 13 02 2014

This Week as usual, We've gain lots of knowledge and we have done lots of activities too. There is more work though coming out this week.

At I.C.T, We were told by our teacher Mr.Jimmy to research about water reserve, water management, and water distribution system and put all of those information into one informative and nice brochure. Not just that, in Inquiry we continue doing our water campaign. On our water campaign as a group we do a presentation to persuade classes on saving water. Well at English we do a lot of games. A game which we blow a cup and the first one who reach the end wins. And also a game which we hunt for words in other's back. At visual arts we are making a model. Some uses clay and some uses boxes. We also had a assembly practice. We practiced a maths song about measurement, and also a poem about saving water.

This Week had been a blast for me well maybe not for some. And I've learn a lot too. I feel that this is a wonderful week.

Weekly Reflection Kayla 5L 13/02/14

This week, we had a lot of practice for the  End of Unit 4 Assembly". It was such a busy week because we had a lot  of projects and many performance to prepare! But I think we can do it..

In arts, we had the water distribution project and the saving water campaign project! It was so challenging and fun at the same time!

In english, we are learning about conjuctions, plural, singular, and prounouns. We had a lot of worksheets though.. But its the easy ones!

In maths, we’re learning about measurements, coneverting, and decimals. Its a littlle bit confusing because its maths! Maths is my biggest weakness when it comes to subjects!

In ICT, we are doing a brochure about  saving water. It was really fun!

I had a lot of fun this week! I am looking forward to have this kind of week..

What i learned in ICT in the unit 4 is how to make a brochure about water.Actually i already know how to make a brochure but i did it again,i knew it when we had the Asia exibition,i made a brochure about Indonesia.We learned it in microsoft publisher.We also learned many things about water.We also learned the food chart like how to make a chart in microsoft excel.We had a little bit of fun during ICT time with Mr.Jimmy than our previous teacher Mr.Chang.We also played Mavis beacon typing center.I learned how to type quickly and i also played the new Mavis beacon typing game premium,its pretty much the same but the new one has more games,i had fun when i played Mavis beacon typing game.My score in Mavis beacon typing canter is pretty high but i did not get 100% maybe 99% or 98% or even maybe 97% but i did not get lower that those score.

I felt excited because when i started unit 4 ms Lenny said we had a new ICT teacher! I was shocked. When i first come in i was shy..... but suddenly he was ok for every one, he introduce himself his name was MR. Jimmy so... he began to test us if we are good at computer but MS. Lenny change the seat i was sad but i got a good friends beside me, she went for boys and girls. He was shocked with year 5 skills well just a little bit. So MR.jimmy was a good teacher and funny a little bit. i loved ICT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In ict we learn about how to make brochure related with water. It is hard to do it , but it is also fun because i can learn much more about computer. In the broschure we are explaining about how to manage water in the world, how to preserve water, and the water distribution in the world. In this unit, we learn about water. In ICT we learn how to make a brochure.The inside of the brochure is about the water. Before we make the brochure we need to research it first and then we can make the brochure. W We tell about how to manage water, water distribution and how to preserve water.We tell how to do it and give like tips how we can manage water and how to preserve water. We want to make brochure because we want to tell  to people how is important water for our life or not we will ran out of water. It to helps the people to save more water but not wasting water. In this unit we learned about water, not only what is water but we learn about how to manage and preserve water. It was really fun we get to make a brochure in ICT using microsoft publisher and the most fun part of this unit is that we are going to have a field trip to... Marco Polo Water Park. In PSHE we had so much fun because we get to sing and dance with a song that has a friendship theme, but sadly... one of the group fail because of not practicing at all. At the end of the unit we are going to have a campaign on how to save water.

     In unit 4, we learnt a lot of techniques to do in microsoft excel and publisher. In microsoft excel, we learnt to calculate, find the last cell, and make borders. In microsoft publisher, we made a brochure about water, mr. Jimmy also told how to make a picture have a transparant background. I felt very happy with all we've learnt and i hope the next project can help me to be more eager and curios about how to do different things in different programs. I also really enjoyed doing the price list because we get to count the total price of all the items we need for the birthday party.

This week we focus a lot about the Chinese New Year.In Inquiry we watch MAGIC SCHOOL BUS.
In Maths we learn about decimals.In English we focused on conjunctions.In sports we played dodge ball and we have a tie between the girls and the boys.This week is actually really busy but it's still great.

Field trip to water decor Fely

We visited waterdecor because it is related to water.water decor is a place for decorations and things that's needed in an aquarium or a fish tank.Mr.Hendri is the one who explains to us.He explains a lot about filters that is needed in a fisht ank. I have fun there because I can learn a lot about fish tanks.
